my name is milissa orzolek, though i perform under the name abandoned ships. I am a geographer, writer, visual artist, educator, bicyclist, audio-enthusiast, director, traveler, performer, puppeteer, paper artist, printmaker, builder, project manager, and clown-in-progress. And I can make a pretty good saag paneer.

Being a freelance teaching artist means that i live with a bit of instability when i am between projects or waiting for payment from a gig. any support received allows me to keep up my creative practice.
